Disposable Bodies

"I am thrilled to experience Disposable Bodies’ transformation from a dance installation performance presented by Philadelphia Dance Projects at Taller Puertorriqueno in 2022 to the proscenium production at the Wilma."
Silvana Cardell, Choreographer

Bryn Mawr College Performing Arts Series & Dance Department co- presents DISPOSABLE BODIES at The Wilma Theater.

Building on its successful debut at Taller Puertorriqueño presented by Philadelphia Dance Projects in October 2022, Cardell Dance Theater will bring reimagined Disposable Bodies performances to The Wilma Stage.

This visually striking multi-disciplinary dance work from Argentinean-born and Philadelphia-based choreographer, Guggenheim Fellow Silvana Cardell—with dramaturgy by Wilma founder Blank Zizka— spotlights and usurps the hierarchical relationships of human and animal bodies with intricate and high energy movement, giant video projections and music score by renowned sound artist Maria Chavez.
