Forgotten Bodies
Forgotten Bodies is a video dance performance that explores how human behavior affects bodies of water, a leading cause of racial inequalities and major damages to the natural world. This site specific-performance was intended to involve the audience, having them holding a large canvas to formed the performing space for the dancers to perform underneath and the audience to watch through the fabric. However, due to the pandemic, the performance had to be redesigned for the virtual space while maintaining social distance. The new design involved a Byrd-eye drone view to capture the audience’s perspective as if they were watching the performance from above and different angles. Audience involvement and closeness, intend to foster compassion, as we are all affected by environmental pollution, which is a leading cause of racial inequalities and major damage to the natural world.
